Classes

early childhood curriculumEach class at Sycamore Park Preschool is tailored for a specific age group.  There are three main classes and a toddler program.  Children may enter the program at any age, however, children gain the most from the program when they begin as toddlers and graduate after completing PreK.  Please note that generally we enroll classes in March-April for the upcoming September school year and children remain in that class until they 'graduate' to the next class in June.  Therefore it is acceptable, for example, for a two-year-old to remain in the toddler program until they are two-and-a-half.

The toddler program is designed for ages 15m to 2-year-olds. The school day hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. OR 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with extended care available from 7-9 and/or 1-6 for an additional fee. Maximum class size is 6 daily, with a ratio of 6:1.

Children may attend between two to five days per week and there is no potty-training requirement.

What is offered daily: group and individual play indoors and outside (weather permitting), story time, beginning arts and crafts, two snacks and a well-balanced, healthy lunch, nap.  Music class on Mondays.
